It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

September - A Cold Month

September is a time when smiles slowly fade from youths' faces, when the wind blows more sharply and when adults grow more annoying. This year, it is a month when no One Piece updates will grace Weekly Shonen Jump's pages. A tough, cold month when no ammount of sun will suffice to warm up my heart...

Now that the drama's out of the way... -cough-
So, yeah. As suspected, there will be a time-skip in OP and so Oda is taking a month break for planning or for loafing around - I don't know and I don't care. He deserves it nonetheless.

Ah... I wanted to add something else, but it seems it's nothing big as usual. Mom's annoying me with questions through skype. I miss my tablet (YESSS I'll be able to draw something on PS!) and when I happened to go the bookstore again I saw the two OP volumes I mentioned wanting before. Curse you, Murphy....

Oh well. Time passed surprisingly fast. I'll be home again pretty soon... I don't even miss my mom yet :I
